Sometimes you just need to be brave, experiment and push your boundaries 'just because'!

That's exactly what happened when my hugely talented photographer brother-in-law and I decided 'we should do something together'. 'Doing something' has turned into a year long project involving over 20 people in an enormous collaboration to create a series of 4 images celebrating the seasons. Working at Old Jet a fantastic creative hub in South Suffolk we kicked off with Autumn.

We built our set inside a huge aircraft hanger using foraged hedgerow finds in front of a bespoke hand-painted backdrop. It was a busy week - 1 day painting, 2 days foraging, 2 days building, 2 days lighting checks and 1 day to shoot! I hope you think it was worth the effort - we did! Winter next!

The whole process was recoded by another great photographer Nick Ilott, so that we had a beautiful set of behind the scenes images. Here are a few of my favourites - including my gorgeous puppy Daisy - my best and most faithful assistant!
